Learn essential lifesaving skills and gain the confidence to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in emergencies. Delivered by expert trainers with healthcare experience, this course ensures you are equipped to respond effectively in critical situations.

What You’ll Learn
How to assess and respond to an emergency situation.
Perform CPR on adults, children, and infants.
Safely use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Follow the DRSABCD action plan for managing emergencies.

This course includes the nationally recognized unit:
HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.
Refresher Face to Face contact time of at least 1 Hour 30 Mins
Blended Face to Face contact time of at least 1 Hour 30 Mins
Face-to-Face Face to Face contact time of at least 2 Hours
Online with face-to-face assessment Face to Face contact time of at least 20 Mins

Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and performing rescue breathing techniques on manikins.
Online study: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.

To meet industry standards, participants are required to renew their CPR certificate every 12 months.

You will be assessed through a combination of practical and theoretical tasks, including:
1. Practical Demonstrations
Performing CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor.
Performing CPR on an infant manikin.
Using an automated external defibrillator (AED) correctly.
Demonstrating a response to an emergency situation using the DRSABCD approach.
2. Theory Assessment
Completing a multiple-choice quiz to test your understanding of CPR procedures and emergency management.
