About Us

Meet Eddie

Eddie (A Director of Maw Training) is an experienced health care professional. He holds a bachelor qualification as a Registered Nurse and has a Master in Business Enterprise. Eddie has experience as a rural and remote nurse and multiple years experience as a senior health care executive including roles in care and compliance and governance. Eddie lives in Victoria and predominately teaches CPR, First Aid and other health care related courses on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and surrounds where he actively supports businesses and volunteer organizations to meet their training needs.

Meet Michael

Michael Maw (A Director of Maw Training) has Registered Nurse Qualifications, is an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner and holds a Master in Nursing (Advanced Practice) a Master in Adult and Vocational Education, a Diploma in Immediate Medical Care from The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, a Grad Cert in Health and Human Science (Health Management) and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management as well as other qualifications. He also has over 35 years experience in Emergency settings, Rural and Isolated practice as well as specialist skills in military, fire, medical and police teaching roles from Australia and the UK.

Michael is an experienced Educator and Clinician with unique experience and an extensive background including emergency departments, pre-hospital, rural and remote practice, education into hospitals, and also holds tertiary academic roles. He currently lives and teaches in rural Australia and provides educational direction to Doctors, Nurses, Undergraduates and First Aiders within the health, education and vocational training space.

All our trainers within Maw Training are all registered health care professionals and bring a range of capacity to our teaching sessions to make training meaningful and enjoyable.

Meet Tessa

Tessa is an experienced Registered Nurse with diverse expertise across Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, and post-anaesthetic care.

Currently, she works in the Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit at a Major Regional Rural Referral Hospital and serves as an Associate Lecturer in Clinical Skills for undergraduate medicine as well as a casual academic teaching into undergraduate nursing.

Her prior roles include working in the Intensive Care Unit and the Department of Emergency Medicine, showcasing her ability to manage high-dependency patients and fast-paced environments, skills that transfer well to her training and assessing roles.

Tessa holds a Bachelor of Nursing, a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, these highlight her commitment to clinical excellence and ongoing education. Tessa is available to teach throughout the Riverina.
